Long’s ensures that all pre-owned timepieces are in good working order when sold and offers a two-year Limited Warranty at time of sale, subject to certain restrictions described below. In the event, that a modern pre-owned timepiece malfunctions during normal use, Long’s will be responsible for, and liability will be limited to, repairing or replacing damaged parts so that the timepiece is in good working order. All work and manner of work will be at Long’s discretion and the two-year warranty period is not extended if Long’s repairs or replaces the merchandise. The Limited Warranty does not cover damage due to water, shock, abuse, modifications, misuse or normal wear and tear. Any modifications of any kind, tampering or opening of the watch to expose the movement post-sale will void the Limited Warranty.
For vintage watches (currently noted as 1985 or older), Long’s provides a 30-day Vintage Limited Warranty that expects reasonable and careful treatment by the purchaser. Each watch will be in working condition at time of sale, though no confirmation of specific accuracy level or waterproofing can be provided. The distinction between vintage and other watches is due to parts not being as readily available and typically cannot be repaired. Long’s reserves the right to offer certain vintage watches and pocket watches with no warranty coverage, which will be communicated to the customer prior to and at time of sale in “as is” condition.
